Ideal for interviews, sports-casting and as the 'mono' mic when used in conjunction with a stereo microphone, the AT804 has a rugged die-cast case with hardened steel grille, which stands up to field use. Its omni pattern provides natural reproduction of surrounding ambience, and it plugs directly into an XLRF-type surface or cable connector. Also named AT8004. The AT804L(aka AT8004L) is similar but with a longer body and a more limited frequency response.
